Let’s Do It!

Time to give my all and nail this. (with my fluffy study buddy :)

Yesterday I had a study catchup with my partner Andy. We talked about his book progress. My comments to him were that it feels like that is the end product and that he should think about fleshing out more the process/research that got him there. Maybe the book could be an intervention and then see where his project goes to from the results of that.

For my research I have been following 2 separate avenues:

  1. International students

  2. Local community

I have been applying the same thought:

Food-Connect: An enquiry into food, culture and storytelling.

International students

  • I have devised a workshop that has been tested on a small group which I am ready to roll out. I plan to hold these workshops this week for 2 groups,

  • From the data I will see what the outcomes were and how best to showcase its purpose to share culture and storytelling.

Local Community

  • I need to meet with the local food outlets and pose my questionaire

  • Do a street intervention to gage the feelings of the local community to get a perspective from both sides. Devise an intervention to assist this.

Branding

I have been working with a Branding and Identity student on the visual styling for my project. I set up this collaboration as I was keen for the project to look good as I am hoping it will be put out to the public domain so needs to look professional.

Once I have more material I am planning to collaborate with an animator to make a movie, Textile designers, products designers.
